The Allt, named after the the prominent ridge, Allt Yr Esgair, that guards the beautiful and fertile Usk Valley, is known to have been built before 1706. It is in an ideal location for walkers and cyclists who wish to explore the many wonderful paths, trails and routes in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is only ½ mile from Talybont-on-Usk, a fascinating village on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal that also lies on the famous Taff Trail, the Beacons Way and the Usk Valley Walk.
